As a young teen, I absolutely loved visiting vista points when they were windy. Something about the amazing scenery and the wind blowing full force invigorated me. I felt the power of immense beauty rushing upon me. I had a lot of traumatic events happen in those fragile years but I was upheld by a force so much greater and more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. I look back and am appalled at how dark those days were and amazed at how bright the light was that sustained me through them. This oil painting reminds me of that truth that remains 🌿
