This painting is a reminder to me of the times that are full and busy with things that seem ordinary, but do truly bring a sense of joy when we see them for what they are. In the search for the mountain peaks, sometimes we forget the flowers winking at us along the way. I’m reminded that the little things in my life make what would have been a mundane day, into a beautiful and full life. My children’s giggles and smiles, the sunrise through my bedroom window, my husbands hand reaching for mine on a family walk. These things are not notable mountain peaks, but they fill my life with abundant joy.
